Battery Powered

Battery powered smoke alarms may be installed where mains power is not connected to the dwelling or where there is no hidden space in an existing dwelling in which to run the necessary wiring for hardwired smoke alarms, for example where there is a concrete ceiling.

Alarms utilising a 9-volt Alkaline battery are required to be changed annually while the 10-year, non-removable Lithium battery does not need to be changed during the life of the unit, ensuring continuous protection. This will also remove the need to climb up on ladders to change alarm batteries.
