FA000 - Alarm Base
The FA000 Base is an Easi-fit mounting base, powered by a 24Vdc supply provided by the Brooks FA40 Residential Control and Indicating Equipment (RCIE).
The FA000 Easi-fit Base acts as the interface between FA series alarm devices and the FA40 RCIE zone circuits. It supervises the installation of the FA device onto the base. If the FA alarm device is removed from the base, a fault condition will be displayed for the affected zone on the FA40 RCIE.
DIP switches on the FA000 set the device type to be installed (FA014 heat, FA016 smoke or FA024 smoke & heat) on that specific base. This allows the device type, and therefore the cause of the alarm, to be identified at the RCIE. The FA000 provides terminals for all field wiring connections and includes status LEDs to indicate operational state
