Brooks Fire Systems - Programming & Commissioning Overview

This training course is suited for Installers & Service Technicians already possessing a broad knowledge
of the Brooks range of Addressable Fire Indicator Panels and associated equipment who wish to
obtain the skills necessary to confidently program and commission either modifications to an
existing system or generate a new system from the scratch.

COURSE OVERVIEW:

FTG319 Programming & Commissioning course guides participants through the EBLWin PC
program used to create and download the Site-Specific Data (SSD), upgrade panel Firmware and
utilise the features such as Loop Check and Auto Generate COM Loop to aid with commissioning
and maintenance.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

On completion of the training, the trainee will be proficient in understanding the concepts for:

• Understanding EBLWin Software Principles and Installation
• Utilising EBLWin to create and implement custom SSD file
• Utilising EBLWin for Loop Diagnostics and Fault Finding
• Understanding Firmware Versions
• Utilising EBLWin for Firmware Upgrades

PREREQUISITES:

Course participants are required to have their own programming Laptop, FDCIE Communication
Cable (USB 2.0 Type A-B), and USB Programming Dongle (5054). With suitable notice both the
Communication Cable and Dongle can be purchased from Brooks and made available on day of
course.

INSTRUCTIONAL METHODS:

This course is delivered in a group environment, Powerpoint presentation and practical demonstration. Students will have access to a network panel and field devices during the practical exercises. However you must bring your own Laptop, FDCIE Communication Cable (USB 2.0 Type A-B), and USB Programming Dongle (5054)
